History

EISTROLL was founded in spring 2003 as a side-project of Raphael D. (guitar, vocals) and M.G. (drums).

In the beginning the aim was to play rough and original Black Metal. After a few rehearsals the decision was made to look for a bass player, who was finally found in summer 2003. H. Geisth introduced a variety of new influences to the band. By now M.G. no longer considered EISTROLL a side-project but as a real band.

Soon it became clear that M.G.'s and H. Geisth's musical ideas were not the same as those of Raphael D. Raphael decided to leave the band, which now had to look for a new guitarist.

When Zephiroth joined the band in autumn 2003, the band's lineup became Zephiroth on guitar, H. Geisth on bass and M.G. on drums.

In 2004 we spent a lot of time developing our ability to work together as a band and to find our own unique sound. Through countless hours of practice we finally discovered the style that best represents us.

The wish to perform our music to an audience grew stronger and stronger. We started looking to add another guitar player and a singer.

We invited several guitarists to audition, but none of them had that special feeling for our music that we were looking for. We decided to work without a second guitarist for the time being.

We were luckier in our search for a singer, bringing Vritra on board in winter 2004.

The line-up in winter 2004 was: Vritra (vocals), Zephiroth (guitar), H. Geisth (bass), and M.G. (drums).

In autumn 2005 we recorded our first Demo-CD "Dimitrios". Thanks to good connections with other bands, it was easy to find a suitable studio and the recording itself was done over only two days.

In December 2005 and January 2006 we played our first concerts. We also found a new guitarist named Nizzrekh.

Currently the band is working on new songs.

We hope that EISTROLL will withstand the tests of time and will continue to grow for many years
